Little fishing boat entering the narrows.
Just some fun with Adobe Lightroom.
~ St. John’s, Newfoundland
I love traveling to places that haven’t been shattered by commercialism, places that look just as they did 30 years ago. It can be a challenge, but these hidden gems exist, especially in Newfoundland, Canada.
Many of the small fishing communities in Newfoundland look just as they did in their golden age, Petty Harbour included.
Even on a beautiful sunny day, the harbour was almost completely deserted, aside from a few fisherman going about their day. The lack of activity wasn’t a bad thing however, it left me to daydream and think about the kind of community it was back when it was a thriving fishing village.
